A central element of the development of the Neighbourhood Plan is consultation with residents. There will be a range of consultation exercises, including household surveys, drop-in sessions and invitations to comment on draft plans and other supporting documents.

All residents will have an opportunity to vote on the final plan through a formal referendum that will be held before the plan can be approved.

If the Neighbourhood Plan is to be successful it is essential that we get good engagement from all our residents so that the plan truly represents your aspirations for the future development of your village and community.

Draft Neighbourhood Plan Consultation April 2023

A major milestone was reached on the 30th May 2023 when the community consultation on the plan was completed. The consultation ran for 6 weeks and allowed local residents the opportunity to say whether or not they supported the content of the Plan and to suggest changes they would like to be considered.

Comments were also received from other major stakeholders, including West Suffolk Council.

Following the completion of the consultation, the Working Party are reviewing comments received and considering any necessary amendments to the Plan. The Plan will then be submitted to West Suffolk Council in order that it can proceed to examination and a parish referendum, hopefully towards the end of the year.

Drop-in Event

As part of the consultation a drop-in event was held at the Village Hall on Saturday 15 April between 10.00 and 13.00. This allowed residents to find out more about the Plan and ask questions of the Working Party members.
