All Saints' Worlington Messy Church meets every 2nd Sunday of the month in the Village Hall starting at 11am. It's a different way of doing church, which appeals to children and young families in particular but is enjoyed by all ages and is open to everyone*. We start with a range of craft activities that help us to think about a bible story or theme, and follow up with a short celebration with story, song and prayer. We usually finish by 12 noon. Holding Messy Church in the Village Hall rather than in the church building itself means we can push the boat out and have coffee and a bacon roll whilst we explore our creative side, and the atmosphere is warm, friendly, and relaxed.
Messy Church is great for people who want to explore their spiritual side and to bring up their children to understand the Christian faith, but find formal church services to be not quite their cup of tea. It gives an opportunity to come together just as we are, with our (sometimes) messy lives and messy families, to worship God in a different way, where children and adults can explore faith alongside each other.
